Experienced veteran midfielder Wesley Sneijder rejected offers from MLS sides to sign with French side Nice on a free transfer.
He has played for major European clubs in his career. With Ajax, Inter, Real Madrid & Galatasaray, he has made a total of 385 first team appearances, scored 136 goals and assisted 134 times establishing himself as one of Europe's greatest ever play makers.
Sneijder has one a La Liga title, Serie A title and a Champions League in his career. In Inter's victorious CL campaign, he was awarded as the best midfielder in Europe.
Internationally for Holland, Sneijder holds the record for most international caps with 131 and has scored 31 goals.
Sneijder's arrival to the French side brings stability to their attacking midfield to create and assist goals as well as a winning mentality to the side who finished 3rd last season in Ligue 1.
Sneijder will once again partner up with his former Inter Milan teammate Mario Ballotelli in attack to help the club in their Ligue 1 and Europa League campaign. He has already made 3 starts in Ligue 1 in the No.10 role. All the best to him.

Nice also completed the signing of young attacking sensation Allan Saint-Maximin on the same day as Sneijder for a €10 million fee. It was really surprising to see Monaco let go a young midfielder to a French rival.
In the past 2 seasons, he has spent his seasons out on loan with French side SC Bastia & German side Hannover 96. He has made a total of 49 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring 3 goals and assisting 5 times.
