Sunday

Huddersfield V Man City

A resilient Huddersfield Town side fought valiantly but ultimately fell to defeat against league leaders Manchester City who made it 11 consecutive victories in a row.

With City dominant in the first-half, it was Huddersfield who took the lead in first-half stoppage time as Christopher Schindler's header was turned into his own net by Nicolas Otamendi.

City immediately leveled things after the restart as Raheem Sterling was fouled in the box by Jonas Lossl and the penalty was converted by Sergio Aguero for his 9th PL goal this season.

City was rewarded for their pressure in the 84th minute after Gabriel Jesus saw his shot saved only for it to inadvertently strike Sterling who was City's best player in the 2nd half. They maintain their eight-point lead at the top as they welcome Southampton this Wednesday.

Huddersfield Town may have been hard done for the effort they put it but this was just their second home loss of the season. Rajiv van La Parra was also dismissed late on as their sit in 11th place and travel to face Arsenal mid-week.

Southampton V Everton

Southampton got their first win in four games; putting in a brilliant performance to claim a 4-1 victory over Everton.

Dusan Tadic gave Southampton the lead in the 18th minute after Ryan Bertrand put him in only for Gylfi Sigurdsson to equalize with his first PL goal for Everton in first-half stoppage time.

But Charlie Austin managed to score two goals within six minutes both through almost identical headers to hand the Saints a two-goal advantage.

Steven Davis sealed the win in the 87th minute to fire home his 3rd PL goal of the season from the edge of the area.

This win takes the Saints on to 16 points moving into 10th place. They travel to face leaders Man City this Sunday.

Everton still hasn't managed to pick up a victory on the road this season which keeps them just two points above the relegation zone. They have a crucial home tie welcoming former manager David Moyes and West Ham United on Wednesday.

Burnley V Arsenal

There was late drama at Turf Moor as Arsenal won the game in the 92nd injury time minute with a late penalty, claiming a 1-0 victory over Burnley.

The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw after Aaron Ramsey & Nacho Monreal missed chances for the away side and Johann Berg Gudmundsson coming close to the home side.

But, James Tarkowski seemingly fouled Ramsey in the box in the eyes of the referee and the awarded penalty was scored by Alexis Sanchez.

This win has moved Arsenal up to fourth place as they welcome Huddersfield Town this coming Wednesday.

Burnley may have had an unlucky result but it's only their 3rd loss all season as they still remain in seventh and travel to face Bournemouth this Wednesday.

Friday & Saturday

Liverpool V Chelsea

Chelsea came from behind to get a well-earned point, drawing 1-1 against Liverpool at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp surprisingly opted to leave attacking duo Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino out of the starting line-up.

With no goals in the first half, the home side took the lead on the 65th with neat play between Phillipe Coutinho and former Chelsea player Mohamed Salah who slotted in his 10th League goal of the season.

A Liverpool win could have moved them into 4th. but they were unable to hold onto it as substitute Willian attempted cross converted into a shot which stunningly beat Simon Mignolet; two minutes coming off the bench.

Liverpool is unbeaten at home this season and travel to face Stoke City this Wednesday. Chelsea's draw took their unbeaten run to six games at Anfield as they also have a midweek Wednesday fixture against Swansea.

Manchester United V Brighton

Manchester United picked up their 7th straight home victory in the PL this season with a narrow and perhaps lucky 1-0 draw against a valiant Brighton side to move five points close to leaders Man City.

Ashley Young managed to drive the ball from the edge of the area which unfortunately hit defender Lewis Dunk to see it loop over goalkeeper Matt Ryan.

Brighton mounted the pressure throughout the game with threatening crosses through Pascal Gross and Anthony Knockaert.

Man United will look to make it 3 PL victories in a row when they travel to face an unpredictable Watford side this Tuesday who are achieving great heights this season and also beat the Red Devils last season.

Brighton welcome an improving Crystal Palace side this Tuesday.

West Ham V Leicester City

New West Ham United manager David Moyes saw his side draw in his first home game in charge against Leicester City. This was West Ham's first point in three games.

The Hammers fell behind to an early goal after Jamie Vardy's deflected cross fell into the path of Marc Albrighton who poked home his first league goal of the season to hand Leicester the lead.
With West Ham piling the pressure on the other end, they were rewarded with the equalizer on the stroke of half-time as Cheikhou Kouyate headed in Manuel Lanini's corner.

West Ham's failure to pick up a win in six matches keeps them in the relegation zone with a tough upcoming midweek fixture at Everton.

Leicester temporarily moved into 11th place with a vital fixture coming up midweek against Tottenham.

Swansea City V Bournemouth

Swansea City ended their four-match losing streak with a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth at "The Liberty Stadium."

Wilfried Bony almost handed the home side the lead, but it was ruled out for a foul committed by Jordan Ayew on Nathan Ake. They came close through substitute Leroy Fer whose driving run saw his first shot saved by Asmir Begovic only for him to scuff up the follow-up.

Swansea's draw still keeps them in the relegation zone as they face a tough challenge midweek with a travel to face the current Champions Chelsea.

This was Bournemouth's third consecutive clean sheet as they've picked up 7 points from their last three games. They temporarily move into 12th and face a home fixture against Burnley this Wednesday.

Crystal Palace V Stoke City

Crystal Palace left it late to secure a stoppage-time 2-1 winner against Stoke City to stretch their unbeaten home record to four games with "The Eagles" picking up just their second victory of the season.

With no goals in the first half, the away side was the first to score through Xherdan Shaqiri who scored a brilliant solo effort.

Palace equalised three minutes later as Ruben Loftus-Cheek struck his first goal for the club to turn in Andros Townsend's far post pass.

But with Palace pushing on, they won it in the 92nd stoppage time minute as Mamadou Sakho pounced on Yohan Cabaye's shot which had rebounded off the post.

This was Palace's 8th point of the season; all at home as they travel to face Brighton this Tuesday. Stoke attempt to break their 3-match winless run with a home game against Liverpool this Wednesday.

Newcastle United V Watford

Watford secured back-to-back home wins for the first time this season, earning a 3-0 victory against Newcastle United to hand them their fourth defeat in a row.

Will Hughes scored in his second consecutive PL game, converting Marvin Zeegelaar's cross for the opener on 19 minutes.
Zeegelaar was on hand again as his cross was inadvertently turned in by DeAndre Yedlin into his own net.

Andre Gray scored his second PL goal of the season just after the hour mark as he tapped in Richarlison's cross. This victory was Watford's fourth away victory in seven games this season as they move to 21 points with a midweek fixture awaiting against Manchester United.

Newcastle sits just four points above the drop zone as they travel to West Brom in a crucial game this Tuesday.

Tottenham V West Brom

Tottenham failed to bounce back from their North London derby defeat; earning a hard-fought home point against an impressive West Brom side.

The Baggies were the surprise team to take the lead on the night with Spurs losing possession, Jake Livermore profited, playing in Salomon Rondon for the early lead.

Their lead lasted until the 74th minute after Harry Kane was well found by Dele Alli to net his 9th PL goal of the season.

Rondon once again came close to a winner in stoppage time but the match ended level, also ending West Brom's disastrous four-match losing run. They welcome Newcastle to The Hawthorns midweek.

This draw ends Spurs record of 3 consecutive home victories and is also their ninth dropped point at home this season. Their midweek fixture sees a visit to a Leicester City side who they thumped six past last season.
