Matchday 2 - Sunday

Liverpool (4-0) Arsenal

Scorer(s)
Firmino 17'
Mane 40'
Salah 57'
Sturridge 77'

The game of the weekend ended in stunning fashion as Liverpool's unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign continued dominantly disposing off a weak Arsenal side.

The deadlock was broken by front man Roberto Firmino heading home Joe Gomez' cross past Petr Cech to give Liverpool an early advantage.

Liverpool's lead was doubled after Firmino's through ball was curled from the far corner by Sadio Mane. He has now scored in each of his PL games this season.

After half time, Mohamed Salah won the ball after Bellerin's mistake, ran 60 yards and scored a brilliant solo goal to make it 3-0.

Salah later assisted dinking the ball which met the Daniel Sturridge to score his first goal of the season which will largely boost his confidence.

Arsenal are now 16th, after back to back losses. Their formation isn't working, players aren't performing. So the manager will have to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea (2-0) Everton

Scorer(s)
Fabregas 27'
Morata 40'

Premier League Champions Chelsea are looking like their former self as they put in a dominant performance to beat Everton 2-0 to move to 6 points in the table.

They started out strongly and then struck after one Spaniard Morata played the ball to another Spaniard Cesc Fabregas who brilliantly found the corner via the outside of his boot.

Alvaro Morata then found the net after heading home a Cezar Azpilicueta cross to score his 2nd goal for Chelsea.

Chelsea are looking solid as every single day goes by after they kept their first clean sheet of the season. Everton have a difficult fixture list ahead and on 4 points aren't looking bad. They just to need to concentrate on their next fixture after the international break ends.

Tottenham (1-1) Burnley

Scorer(s)
Alli 49'
Chris Wood 90+2'

Tottenham's first home win of the season at Wembley will still have to wait after they conceded a late injury time equiliser by Burnley.

After a dry first half, Dele Alli struck in the 2nd half after his initial effort on goal was blocked and managed to score on the rebound.

However, Burnley's new signing of the week Chris Wood had the final laugh after he came off the bench and met Robbie Brady's pinpoint ball to strike a blow for Tottenham as the points were shared.
Burnley have now taken 4 points on their away games to Chelsea and Tottenham this season.

West Brom (1-1) Stoke City

Scorer(s)
Jay Rodriguez 61'
Crouch 77'

West Brom manager Tony Pulis faced off against his former side Stoke City as the points were shared at The Hawthorns.

The scoring was opened by the home side after Jay Rodriguez scored low after heading Allan Nyom's pass for his first goal for his new club.

Stoke City responded to level things up when substitute Peter Crouch scored a simple header after a defensive error in judgement by Ahmed Hegazi.

West Brom have 7 points out of 9 which is fantastic & Stoke have a decent tally of 4 points.

We all hope for the same drama when the Premier League returns within a fortnight's time and what a fixture to kick off the return, Man City Vs Liverpool!
