Manchester United, title favorites this season put in a dominant performance as they saw off West Ham impressively with a 4-0 performance.



New front man Romelu Lukaku scored a brace on his Old Trafford debut; first via a brilliant counter attack by finding the inside of the post, the other one in the second half by heading in a Mkhitaryan free-kick.


Substitute winger Anthony Martial showed his pace to score United’s third of the game after sliding the ball home after a superb Mkhitaryan pass.


Paul Pogba put the icing on the cake by scoring a long range effort in the 90th minute to ensure United finish top of the table at the end of the day.

Man United’s display have definitely made them fierce contenders that any team would fear facing and they are soon making their home ground a fortress once again.


For West Ham, they have another Away game coming in the PL and need to concentrate on winning 3 points especially as they are bottom of the table.

Newcastle United’s homecoming to the Premier League didn’t go as per their plan as they were reduced to 10 men and lost 0-2 to a dominant Tottenham side.

The game was going well for both sides with respect to creativity as well as defending as the first half came to an end.


In the 48th minute, Newcastle captain Jonjo Shelvey received a straight red card for violent conduct and the game turned into Tottenham’s favor.


With the man advantage, Spurs midfielder Dele Alli finally found the breakthrough via a calm cross by Eriksen in the 61st minute.

Their lead was doubled after 9 minutes as left back Ben Davies gave Spurs a 2 goal advantage and the eventual win.

It was a good win for Spurs as they opened their Premier League account. Newcastle will have to wait to earn their first point of the season and need to concentrate on next week’s fixture.
