The former Swansea City play-maker has signed a 5 year deal!

He becomes Everton's 8th transfer of the season!

 **TRANSFERS: English Premier League 2017/18**

Player: Gylfi Sigurdsson
Age: 27 years
Position: No.10/Left Wing

To: Everton FC
From: Swansea City

Transfer Fee: £45 Million

Gylfi Sigurdsson's move to Everton was finally completed on Wednesday after a successful medical. The transfer fee was a whopping £45 Million which will benefit Swansea City to bring in new faces before the window closes.

Sigurdsson was the key player helping Swansea beat the drop after a fantastic run of performances in their final 10 games. He is an excellent addition to the Toffees who is now their new creator in chief in attacking midfield.

Sigurdsson has made a total of 182 appearances in the Premier League, scoring an impressive 42 goals and registering 34 assists.

Last season especially transformed him into the finest No.10 in the league as he made 38 PL appearances, scoring 9 goals and assisting 13 times.

Swansea played a 4-3-3 formation for majority of their season which saw Sigurdsson drift onto the left wing, a position he had problems with in his Tottenham days. But he took full advantage and adapted himself to it which is further positive news for the Everton manager.

His slick passing and accurate through balls will gladly help Everton's European ambitions this season. They now have a new set piece taker for curlers as well as direct free kicks which will fetch them many goals this season.

Everton have three No.10's in their squad; Rooney, Klaassen and now Sigurdsson who are all very creative players. This could see Ronald Koeman shift to a 3-5-2 formation which can accommodate all 3 of them.

Everton may have overpaid for the player but at 27, Sigurdsson brings a lot of quality to their squad which will be very useful for the club's Premier League and European ambitions this season.

Wishing him all the best with his future!!!
