Current Ligue 1 Champions AS Monaco are a fan of young talented players with a high potential for the future. On 2nd of August 2017, they once again decided to opt for youth over experience by signing France U-21 striker Adama Diakhaby for €10 Million. 

Last season, at the age of 20, he managed to make 25 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring 4 goals. This season, he already made his Monaco debut earlier in the week by contributing his first assist.

Transfer Fee: €15 Million

Monaco once again announced the arrival of a high profile youngster to their squad to provide cover at centre back and left back, . They signed Dutch defender Terrence Kongolo for a fee worth €15 Million.

Last season in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord, he managed to make 23 appearances, scoring once and assisting twice. Most of these appearances came at left back which was surprising.

Kongolo's versatility in the Monaco defense will be essential for their League and European ambitions this season. He comes as a somewhat direct replacement for Benjamin Mendy at left back as well as providing cover at centre back.

There's a lot of success ahead in his Monaco career beginning from this season. It will be difficult for him to break the central defensive partnership of Glik and Jemerson. So, mostly he will be seen at left back. All the best to him

From: Zulte Waregem

Transfer Fee: €8 Million

Monaco have also lost a valuable central midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from their squad this season and have decided to replace youth by youth. Young defensive midfielder Soualinho Meite was signed from the Belgian Pro League club Zulte Waregem.

He spent the whole season on loan in Belgium last season, making 46 appearances for the Waregem first team who signed him permanently. But, with Monaco interested, he once again decided to make the switch to Ligue 1, just one day after his permanent move was completed.

He is yet to make his league debut and will slowly start learning from the experienced midfielders like Fabinho, Tielemans & Moutinho who all have experience playing at the highest level. As time goes by, he will also become an important member of the Monaco squad. All the best to him
