Shot Stopper
Player: Joe Hart
Age: 30 years
Position: Goalkeeper
To: West Ham United
From: Manchester City
Signed on a Season long loan
Report
After
speculation of nearly a year, Joe Hart has finally found himself a Premier
League club to continue playing in England. West Ham have signed him on loan for
one season with a potential permanent move in the future.
Man
City manager Pep Guardiola made it clear last season that he didn’t want to
keep Hart as City’s No.1. Unfortunately Joe couldn’t find a Premier League club
in time last season and he moved to Italy. City’s keepers last season kept just
12 clean sheets last season with no firm first choice. Hart could have been the
first choice this season, but Guardiola had other plans and signed a new
goalkeeper.
Now
perhaps with West Ham he could revive the glittering career he had in the
Premier League in the past.

Joe
at his best
Almost
3 years ago, Hart was recognized as one the finest keepers in Europe until
concerns regarding his future started emerging. Joe is an excellent shot
stopper there isn’t any doubt about that. He may have the best reflexes of any
goalkeeper and produces unreal saves in a game. Joe is a leader for defenders
and has all the qualities and responsibilities a captain needs. He has the
presence of mind to assign the correct number of players he wants in a wall
before a direct free kick along with man marking on set plays.
Joe’s
weaknesses in goal
As
good as a keeper Joe is, he makes too many errors during the game. At times he doesn’t
protect his near post well enough and the opposition sneaks in a goal. Joe is
weak when it comes to punching the ball clear and has conceded most of his
goals that way. At times, Joe even has a lack of confidence in his abilities
especially with criticisms he receives due to his performances.
This
loan move to West Ham may work out greatly in his favor if he entirely
concentrates entirely on his performances. A drawback for him this season would
be that he won’t be able to face his parent club Man City which would be
disappointing for him as he still has a point to prove against them.
He
will be loved by West Ham fans and would relish playing in the Olympic Stadium.
He can even revive his starting role for the England National Team with
positive performances and Man City may regret losing him.
Wishing
him all the best with his new club!!!
