Swansea City lost a forward & gained a forward on deadline day. After Fernando Llorente's departure to Tottenham, who better to replace him than former Swansea man Wilfried Bony who resigned for a £12 Million fee from Man City.
Bony was Swansea's club record signing in 2013 when he moved from Dutch side Vitesse. He spent two and a half seasons with the club, making 70 appearances, scoring 35 goals making him a prolific lethal striker.
He then moved to Man City in Jan 2015 and that's where his career started falling apart. He failed to establish a starting role, making just 46 appearances and scoring 11 goals, out of which just 6 goals came in the Premier League.
He spent last season on loan at Stoke City in a bid to relaunch his career but to no avail. He made just 10 PL appearances in the whole season, scoring just 2 goals.
Bony will not have the same partnership he had with Gylfi Sigurdsson last time out with the club but he can partner with the new loan signing Renato Sanches expected to be an exciting one.
Bony first moved to Swansea from Vitesse for £14 Million. Man City later signed him for £29 Million in 2015. Now, Swansea have signed him for £12 Million which is £15 Million less than City's fee and £2 Million less than his club record deal in 2013.
Swansea have had a brilliant transfer window, made a huge profit on their sales and brought in players who can keep them in the top flight. Bony can discover his lost form with the club as a fan favorite has returned back to the club. All the best to him.
