Player: Kieran Gibbs
Age: 27 years
Position: Left Fullback

To: West Bromwich Albion
From: Arsenal

Transfer Fee: £7 Million

West Brom have completed the signing of Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal for a reported £7 Million fee. Gibbs was one of the two deals West Brom announced after announcing the loan signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak from PSG a few hours later.

Gibbs is a boyhood Arsenal fan since joining the club at the age of 14 back in 2004. Gibbs made his first appearance for the Arsenal first team in 2007 and has since gone on to make 229 appearances, scoring 6 goals and registering 25 assists. However, Gibbs never managed to establish himself as first choice due to lack of form & long term injuries.

Internationally, for England he has won 10 senior caps.

Now at West Brom, Gibbs may finally establish himself as the first choice left back especially due to the lack of players available in that position. His arrival will be delightful for WBA manager Tony Pulis especially for defensive mentality that he will bring to the side.

Pulis can play him as a Left back in a back 4 or back 5 or even as a Wing back. His pace down the left combining with his work rate will be highly beneficial for the team. At £7 Million Pounds, Gibbs looks like a good bargain who will bring a different dynamism to the side. All the best to him.
