Signed on a season-long loan

West Brom may have pulled one of the biggest transfers of the summer. The club has announced the signing of defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak on a season long loan. No one in World Football may have seen this deal coming but WBA manager Tony Pulis has pulled off the impossible.

Pulis is known for building a defensive foundation to any side he has managed and is doing the same with WBA. Krychowiak's arrival is a massive boost for the club and be the ideal defensive rock who Pulis would want to have in the holding midfield role.

Krychowiak had played for Spanish side Sevilla for 2 seasons and his impressive performances began gaining him the reputation as the best holding midfielder in Europe. Across 2 seasons, he made 90 appearances, winning back-to-back Europa League trophies in 2015 and 2016.

With rumors linking him to PL side Liverpool, he decided to move to PSG for £30 Million but failed to establish himself in the starting XI. He made just 11 Ligue 1 appearances, playing just under 700 minutes.

Now he would relish a chance of playing in the Premier League and regain his lost confidence. His abilities include picking out brilliant long range pass & his willingness to do the so called dirty work of breaking up the opposition's attack. WBA score most of the goals via set plays which is another advantage having a threat like Krychowiak in the side. All the best to him.
