Arsenal failed to make it 3 wins in a row as Watford beat them 2-1 thanks to an injury-time winner.
Per Mertsacker scored his first goal in 1,400 days, to hand The Gunners an early lead which lasted until the 71st minute.
Mesut Ozil was handed a glorious chance to give Arsenal a two-goal lead but fluffed his lines. Hector Bellerin fouled Richarlison in the box and Troy Deeney scored the resulting penalty. Since then, it was all Watford with Etienne Capoue hitting the post.
But, late on in the game Arsenal were further punished for their woeful defending after Tom Cleverly converted the scramble to hand Arsenal their 3rd defeat of the season. This result brought Arsenal down to 6th place.
GW 9
Arsenal had five different scorers on the night as they picked up their first away win of the season in five games, beating Everton 2-5. This moved them into 5th place level on 16 points with Chelsea.
Despite Wayne Rooney handing Everton an early lead, Arsenal fought back as Nacho Monreal leveled just before half-time.
In the second half, Arsenal had the upper hand as Mesut Ozil headed in Alexis Sanchez' cross, scoring his first of the season.
Ozil then set up Alexandre Lacazette for his 5th season goal and Arsenal's third on the night as Aaron Ramsey scored their fourth on 90 minutes.
Oumar Niasse scored a late consolation but it wasn't the last on the night as Alexis Sanchez opened his PL account this season to complete the rout. This also proved to be Everton manager Ronald Koeman's final game as he was sacked in the week.
GW 10
Arsenal picked up back-to-back wins for only the second time this season, earning a well-fought 2-1 win against Swansea City to maintain their 100 percent home record.
Despite Sam Clucas' early first-half goal; Arsenal had to wait until the second half as Sead Kolasinac scored a fierce 14-yard strike to register his first ever PL goal.
Seven minutes later, Kolasinac turner provider for Aaron Ramsey who scored what proved to be the winner and his 50th career goal for Arsenal.
The victory took Arsenal to 5th place with 19 points and a landmark day for manager Arsene Wenger who managed his 800th PL game.
GW 11
Arsenal's woeful away form continued as Manchester City outclassed them 3-1. to hand them their 4th away defeat of the season.
Arsenal conceded within the first 20 minutes courtesy of Kevin De Bruyne.
Further errors led to Nacho Monreal fouling Raheem Sterling in the box & Sergio Aguero scored the resulting penalty.
Substitute Alexandre Lacazette pulled a goal back but Gabriel Jesus handed City's two-goal lead once again which led to Arsenal slipping into sixth in the table, 12 points behind their opponents.
Arsenal face a huge test this Saturday. a classic North London derby against fierce rivals Tottenham.
