3rd Place: Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham have had somewhat of a slower start this season especially with their "Wembley" conundrum but are finally establishing themselves as a fierce title contender this season.

By the time GW 7 approached, they had risen to 3rd above Chelsea in the table just 3 points behind 2nd place Man United but had a bizarre record; a spotless away record with 4 Wins but still looking for their first win at their new home.

Since then, things have changed dramatically in the Premier League as well as major praise in the UEFA Champions League. From their 4 fixtures; they won all their 3 Home games and gradually began their rise. Let's see how that shaped up.

GW 8

GW 8 was when Tottenham finally broke their Wembley curse by picking up their first home victory of the season beating Bournemouth 1-0.
Christian Eriksen was the difference maker who scored two minutes into the 2nd half scoring the solitary goal of the game and his 3rd of the season.

The win kept them in 3rd place; closing the gap to 3 points with Manchester United.

GW 9

After holding out European Champions Real Madrid in Spain; Tottenham put in their most dominant performance of the season; thrashing Liverpool 4-1 to secure back-to-back wins at home.

Harry Kane led Tottenham's triumph on the night scoring a brace; opening the scoring after 4 minutes.

Dejan Lovren's error broke a devastating Tottenham counter-attack as Kane fed Son Heung-Min; slotting home his first goal of the season and Tottenham's second on the night.

Despite Liverpool getting a goal back; in first-half injury time, Dele Alli volleyed home  Tottenham's third of the night.

Harry Kane completed the riot; firing home from close range to take his tally to 8 goals this season.

With a win for Tottenham and a loss for Man United; both teams moved level on 20 points ahead of their meeting next week.

GW 10

Harry Kane's absence led to Tottenham's struggle and a 1-0 loss at Man United as the Red Devils once again moved 3 points clear of Spurs. This was Spurs' first loss and dropped points on the road this PL season.

With a goalless first half and no Harry Kane; Tottenham couldn't find a breakthrough in the game. They had a superb chance to open the scoring on 77 minutes, but Dele Alli couldn't turn in Cristian Eriksen's chip.

With nine minutes remaining; Man United's Anthony Martial scored the winner.

GW 11

After a dominant performance and victory at home to Real Madrid; Spurs got back to winning ways beating Crystal Palace 1-0 to claim their 3rd straight home win.

Son Heung-Min broke the deadlock on 64 minutes, firing home from the edge of the box scoring back-to-back home goals this season.
Paulo Gazzaniga deputized for the injured Hugo Lloris produced outstanding saves in the game as Spurs' resilient defense held firm for their 7th clean sheet of the season.

Their win and Man United's loss brought the two sides level on 23 points in 2nd & 3rd places respectively; 8 points behind leaders Manchester City.

Tottenham travel for a huge North London derby against their fiercest rivals Arsenal this weekend which promises to be a mouthwatering clash.

Prediction:
Arsenal (2-2) Tottenham
