West Ham United finally got their first points of the campaign with a 2-0 victory against Huddersfield Town in their first PL Home game this season.

This defeat also marked the end of Huddersfield Town's stunning start to the season which saw 2 Wins, 1 Draw and no goals conceded.

The Hammers had to wait until the 72' minute when substitute Andre Ayew fed the ball into Pedro Obiang who had his shot defelected off Zanka to give the home side the lead.

Within 5 mins, Ayew was the quickest reactor to Aaron Cresswell's corner who doubled West Ham's lead to claim all three points at the end of the night.

Roy Hodgson appointed as the new Crystal Palace manager

Sunday evening Crystal Palace suffered their 4th defeat of the season losing out to Burnley and still hadn't score a single Premier League goal this season.

Monday morning Crystal Palace announced the sacking of manager Frank De Boer after just 77 days in charge of the club.

On Tuesday, Crystal Palace announced the arrival of former England manager Roy Hodgson as his successor after signing a 2-year deal.

Hodgson was once a youth player for Palace and has managed PL sides Balckburn, Liverpool, Fulham & West Brom in the past. Hodgson & De Boer have something in common, both have also managed Italian side Inter Milan in the past.

All together Hodgson has managed 253 Premier League games. His last reign in professional football was as manager of the England National Side, managing 55 games.

With the experience that Roy possesses managing in the top flight, he could be the perfect manager to ensure Crystal Palace stay safe this season from relegation and his appoint at this stage is crucial for him to organize the squad.

Crystal Palace play their next PL game against Southampton at Home on Saturday and the place will be bouncing to greet their new manager. All the best to him.
