Transfer Fee: €11 Million

Ligue 1 Champions AS Monaco have signed Montenegro International Stevan Jovetic from Italian side Inter Milan for a reported €11 Million fee. He completed his move on 29th August hours before Monaco announced the arrival of Keita Balde Daio from Lazio.

Jovetic was pictured in the No.10 shirt which is currently worn by Kylian Mbappe further fueling rumors linking the player with an exit with Jovetic arriving as his possible replacement.

He has had a mixed career so far; from once being tipped as the best centre forward in the Italian League to now being a liability. Jovetic made his breakthrough impact during his time with Fiorentina, making 134 appearances, scoring 40 goals and registering 21 assists.

In 2013, he signed with Premier League side Man City and thereon his career has taken a drastic turn. Jovetic was basically 4th choice in that season behind Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo & Edin Dzeko with limited game time available. In 2 seasons, he managed just 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals.

In 2015, Inter Milan decided to sign him on a one and a half year loan deal & permanently agreed a move in Jan 2017. For Inter, he made 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring just 7 goals.

As soon as the loan deal was made permanent, he once again departed on loan, this time to La Liga side Sevilla. Here, he started gaining stability with game time making 21 appearances, and scoring 6 goals in La Liga, two notable strikes were against Real Madrid home and away.

Internationally, he captains the Montenegro first team and has won 46 international caps and scored 23 goals.

Jovetic is a quality forward, there's isn't any doubt about it. He needs game time to establish himself and a good partner in attack. Fortunately, he may get it at Monaco and form a formidable partnership with Radamel Falcao. Monaco may just be the club to bring him to his full potential. All the best to him.
