Rooney's first came in the 18th minute when his penalty was saved by Joe Hart but the follow up was headed into the open goal.

10 minutes later. a swift Everton attack saw Tom Davies put in a delicious cross which was converted by an unmarked Rooney

West Ham was handed hope through a penalty but Manuel Lanzini's spot-kick was saved by Jordon Pickford

Rooney scored his hat-trick in sublime fashion with a first-time shot inside his own half after Hart's clearance inadvertently fell into his path. This was his 205th PL goal and 7th this season.

Ashley Williams scored a header to make it 4-0 and hand Everton their first win in their last three to move them up to 13th. New boss Sam Allardyce takes charge this Saturday against visitors Huddersfield Town.

David Moyes' welcome to Everton didn't go as per plan yet again as they have failed to win in their last seven games. Their fixture list is getting more and more difficult with a trip next to face leaders Man City.

Manchester City V Southampton

Raheem Sterling was Man City's match-winner for the second Gameweek running with his stunning 96th-minute winner earning a 2-1 victory over Southampton; their 12th win in a row.

It was Southampton who came close through defenders Wesley Hoedt & Maya Yoshida who could have given a two-goal lead.
But, Kevin De Bruyne whipped in a free-kick from the left wing for the opener.

Saints midfielder Oriol Romeu looked to have earned a point for Southampton on the 75th minute, netting in Sofiane Boufal's cutback, but Sterling had the final word with his stoppage-time curler from the edge of the box; his 9th league goal this season.

Man City have a second home game this Sunday against an unsteady West Ham side and will look for their 13th league victory in a row with Southampton facing a tricky test away at Bournemouth.

Watford V Manchester United

Ashley Young was on-hand with his brace to secure a first away win in four league matches as Manchester United put four goals for the seventh time this season, beating Watford 4-2.

This was also United's 3rd league win in a row and keeps the Red Devils eight points behind Man City in 2nd with Watford remaining in 8th.

Young scored his first league goal in 18 months with a brilliant low half volley outside the box before doubling his and United's tally on the night with a sublime curling free-kick.
United was 3-0 up just after the half-hour mark through Anthony Martial's compose finish also marking his 6th league goal of the season.

United was looking the likely to win with a clean sheet, that was until Watford struck two goals in seven minutes; the first through Troy Deeney's penalty and Abdoulaye Doucoure's perfectly placed strike.

But United launched a counter-attack and Jesse Lingard produced a mesmerizing solo run, beating five players including the goalkeeper to seal the win.

United have a mammoth clash this Saturday as they travel to Arsenal with Watford welcoming the other North London side Tottenham.

Leicester City V Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham suffered their 3rd consecutive away defeat this season as Leicester City secured a 2-1 victory which moves the North London side down to 7th with Leicester moving into 9th place.

Riyad Mahrez doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time, picking out the top corner from 20 yards out with a sublime curler.

Harry Kane handed Spurs a lifeline in the 79th minute; converting Erik Lamela's cross for his10th PL goal this season but it wasn't enough.

Spurs travel to face Watford this coming Saturday with the Foxes looking to follow-up their victory with Burnley's visit to the King Power Stadium.

Stoke City V Liverpool

Mohamed Salah became the first PL player to cross 10 goals this season after coming on as a substitute to score a brace in Liverpool's 3-0 win at Stoke City. The victory takes Liverpool into 5th place while Stoke drops down to 16th.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring on 17 minutes after he cleverly lifted the ball over keeper Lee Grant after Dominic Solanke found him in on goal.

Salah came on in the 67th minute and struck 10 minutes later with a brilliant high volley and scored his second just six minutes later with a clever finish to the bottom left corner.

After their fourth win in five games; Liverpool travels to face Brighton with Stoke avoiding to avoid a third successive defeat as they welcome Swansea City.

Arsenal V Huddersfield Town

Arsenal maintains their 100 percent home record this season with a free-scoring 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town. This was Arsenal's 7th straight home victory this season and was also their 3rd straight victory in a row.

Alexandre Lacazette was on hand to give Arsenal the lead in the third minute itself as he fired his 7th goal of the season after Aaron Ramsey neatly flicked the ball into his path.
With Huddersfield getting good chances, Arsenal stuck three goals in four second-half minutes; first through substitute Olivier Giroud and the second through Alexis Sanchez.

The creator of both goals Mesut Ozil scored Arsenal's 4th of the night after being picked out once again by Ramsey and Giroud struck a late close-range effort to secure the win.

Arsenal will look to put their 100 percent home record on the line this Saturday as they face a huge clash against Manchester United. After 3 consecutive defeats, two against top 4 sides, Huddersfield will look to get back to winning ways with a trip to a rejuvenated Everton side.

Chelsea V Swansea City

Chelsea secured a narrow 1-0 win against Swansea City to extend their run to five wins in their last six games to remain in 3rd place. Swansea's fourth straight away loss of the season keeps them in 19th.

N'golo Kante's deflected shot was carried into the path of Antonio Rudiger who headed home in the 55th minute. Chelsea had most of the first team players including Eden Hazard and Cesar Azpilicueta rested for this game.

Chelsea faces Newcastle United at home in the early fixture this Saturday with pressure mounting on Swansea looking to avoid their 10th defeat of the campaign with a trip to Stoke City.

Bournemouth V Burnley

High-flying Burnley secured successive away wins with a well earned 2-1 victory at Bournemouth to move up to 6th in the table; their highest ever place. This was also Burnley's fourth victory in five PL games.

The returning Chris Wood was on hand to score the opener on the night who pounced on Robbie Brady's deflected shot to give Burnley a deserving lead.
Both sides had to wait until the 65th minute for the next goal of the match which saw Brady score a right-footed strike into the top corner.

Joshua King handed Burnley slender hope of getting something out of the game after Jermain Defoe's shot was saved but it wasn't enough as Bournemouth fell into 15th.

Burnley travel to face Leicester City this Saturday with Bournemouth set to welcome South Coast rivals Southampton.

West Brom V Newcastle United

Manager-less West Brom blew a two-goal lead to secure a 2-2 draw at home to Newcastle United.

This point brought Newcastle up into 12th which also ended their run of four consecutive defeats. West Brom earned their second point in two games but still remained in 17th, two points above the relegation zone.

Hal Robson-Kanu handed West Brom the lead with a first-half stoppage time strike after heading in Kieran Gibbs' cross for his 2nd PL goal.
West Brom's second was a special moment for the fans and 19-year old homegrown player Sam Field who converted Matt Phillips' pinpoint cross to double their lead.

But, just three minutes later, a Matt Ritchie set-piece was headed in by Ciaran Clarke for his second league goal through a corner. The second Matt Ritchie free-kick got deflected off Jonny Evans.
West Brom has announced the arrival new manager Alan Pardew as he is set to take charge this Saturday afternoon against a familiar opponent as they welcome his former side Crystal Palace.
Newcastle has a mammoth task as they travel to face Champions Chelsea with another managerial welcome awaiting as Rafa Benitez takes charge against his former side.

Brighton V Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace earned their first away point of the season which also saw the end of eight successive defeats with a 0-0 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brighton keeper Matt Ryan made two brilliant saves in the first half, first from Cristian Benteke and the other from Wilfried Zaha which was a fine reflex stop.

Ruben Loftus Cheek had the best chance for the Eagles but both the rivals canceled out each other.

This has to keep Brighton unbeaten at home for six matches but has dropped down to 10th as they welcome Liverpool this Saturday.
